BowTech Guardian Compound Bow
The BowTech Guardian compound bow was released by the BowTech company in 2007 as a bow that was going to provide the ultimate bowhunting experience combining the values of the company’s new center pivot technology and CenterTrac binary systems.
The appearance of the Guardian could take some getting used to if you haven’t tried a BowTech before but once you do, you’ll appreciate the power and the whisper quiet qualities of the bow.
The Guardian incorporates the CenterTrac Binary Cam system. With the original Binary Cam system, both harnesses are anchored on the opposite cam so the system cannot go out of balance…so timing adjustment is not necessary. With the new system the harnesses are attached to the axle which eliminates cam lean and improves the shot by balancing the force on the tips of the limbs.
In order to silence the system during shooting the bow is equipped with VibraBlock String silencers that BowTech calls its “Hush Kit”. Apart from the silencers that are added to the bow, the design itself is framed around its ability to shoot quietly.

I decided to try the Bowtech Guardian. It was very difficult to ignore the revolutionary new center pivot design of the Guardian by a company who has been pushing the envelope of bow design since 1999.

This is the quietest bow I have ever heard! It is lightning fast and very forgiving. Although it is slightly heavier than other bows I was considering and takes its toll on long walks throught he woods, the added weight gives me more stability when shooting indoor/ outdoor target shoots.
