BowTech Insanity CPX Compound Bow

The BowTech Insanity CPX compound bow has been released for the 2012 season as a seriously smooth and silently shooting bow that is also blessed with tremendous speed. The company is proud of the fact that they have produced a bow that is fitted with the best of their latest technological innovations that improves accuracy and speed in great measures.

The bow is powered by the OverDrive Binary Cam System that eliminates cam lean problems, makes tuning easy and aids accuracy as a result. Hardcore limbs increase bow efficiency and are important factors towards the speed of the bow and the Center Pivot Extreme Technology (thus the CPX) works to prevent the shooter from torquing the bow upon release increasing accuracy even further.

Some of the other features that make the new Insanity CPX a flagship bow to be excited about include a forged riser, FLX-Guard, Octane factory strings, 2-piece wood grip and Carbon Rod string stop.

The bow is available in the standard Mossy Oak Treestand finish or are also available in Mossy Oak Infinity, Gore Optifade Forest or Open Country, Realtree APG HD and BlackOps. It is also possible to get target colors such as AnoRock Onyx and Inferno.

What they're saying in the forums about the BowTech Insanity CPX

Only got to shoot it at 30yds so far... but it was shooting awesome!!! There is a hump at the end of the draw right before it breaks over.. which is more noticeable @ 65# than it was at 60#

Well I went to my dealer and shot both bows. We set the CPX up at 30" and sure enough the cable hits the post! 🙁
Moved it down to 29.5" and there was lots of clearance but I could really notice the lack of draw length. I normally set my bows up spot on 30" and then add a D-Loop and that brings me right into the sweet spot on my DL.
Anyway....... Back to the bows. The draw was stiff with a bit of a hump to get over just at the end of the draw cycle. Valley is SHORT on this bow. At the shot there is a little transfer of vibration to the shooter, nothing serious but it is there. The bow holds steady and is dead in the hand as in it just sort of sits there.
This is a nice speed bow but there are some trade offs for that speed!
