G5 Prime Defy Compound Bow

G5 Prime DefyThe G5 Prime Defy compound bow is a fantastic super- shooting bow. This perfect for hunting, with a solid back wall and a forgiving brace height. Add this to the above average speeds, the bow can fire at and you've got an outstanding bow that you'd feel sorry not to take advantage of.

The Defy Parallel cam system is used for this bow to eliminate cam lean. This system works by splitting the string and adding another track. This creates a well balanced cam which stops the string from pulling more on one side. The result is increased stability which creates more accurate shots, reaching speeds up to 330 fps. The only downside is that the cams are draw length specific. These lengths range from 26" to 30".

A Forged 7000 series riser is used which reinforces stiffness. This allows more persistently accurate shots over time. An upside of this riser is that it keeps the weight down relatively well, at 4.1 lbs. The riser has a rear mounting string stop system which eliminates most string vibration after the arrow is released.

The bow uses a system called the I-Glide flex cable slide, made from high tensile spring steel. This allows the cables to flex the guard while being drawn. This is great as it still allows the guard to move out of the way after the arrow is released.

The bow is coated with a Durafuse finish with the colour options between Optifade Forest, Optifade Open, Realtree AP and Jet Black. The MSRP of the Defy is $949

What they're saying in the forums about the Prime Defy

This company is very underrated considering this is the most dead in the hand bow I have ever shot. The bow is very light and balances perfectly with a 6" bee stinger and tight spot. At full draw the shorter ata is not even noticeable due to the long riser. I also loved that I set center shot at 13/16" and first shot bullet hole with bare shaft and fletched, perfect walk back tune, and while broad head tuning my first broadhead out of it cut the fletching off of the field point.

Local dealer put this bow in my hand and after the first shot I was sold. Very smooth, easy to draw and no "shock" to my shoulder on release. Even though my form is not up to par the forgiving characteristics of the Defy allow me to be plenty accurate. Took two deer in the first season, both pass through shots at 50#.
