High Country Archery
High Country Archery has been providing compound bows and other archery equipment for a couple of decades, since first founded by Spencer Land in Orofino, Indiana . The company stands by the belief that every archer should have a bow that is a pleasure to shoot. From 1989 the High Country range of bows has featured strong hunting bows and accurate target bows and all of them have been designed to provide the smoothest draw, the best fitting grip and a cam system that will have you holding the weight of the bow comfortably.
The company has been innovative in the design of some important components. These innovations include the 65% let-off cam, the Hatchet Cam in 1989, the first extruded aluminum riser using 7075-T6 aluminum in 1992, the first carbon riser in 1996, the first cam to have draw length adjustment without modules and the originator and patent holder of the roller-guard in 2002.
In October, 2009 High Country was purchased by Hunters Heritage Group LLC. This resulted in a plan to propel the image of High Country Archery to greater heights. Using the early accomplishments and brand recognition the High Country brand will continue to be responsible for quality hunting and competitive archery products.
The latest range of compound bows in the High Country line up include the Speed Pro X11, Speed Pro X10, Speed Pro SL Raptor, Supreme Pro Eliminator.
