Hoyt Faktor 34 Compound Bow

Hoyt Faktor 34The Hoyt Faktor 34 compound bow has a lot of similarities to the Spyder 34 but has been given some significant design improvements to make it a real winner for the 2014 season. The bow features the longer 34 inch frame for a solid base and has redesigned Z5 cams for a smooth draw and a high speed rating.

This is the larger version of the Faktor series of bow and provides the hunter with a larger frame the same features and functions that you will get with the slightly smaller Faktor 30.

The Z5 cam system is a redesigned version of the RKT cam but it uses many of the features of the previous system. The module adjustments are available in three configurations with the first cam offering adjustments from 25 – 26.5 inches, the second from 27 – 29 inches and the third providing 29 – 31 inches. All adjustments are in half inch increments.

The draw cycle is extremely smooth with a small amount of stiffness at the start. The valley is generous and the back wall is reassuringly solid. For a bow with a top end speed of 330 fps the brace height measurement of 7 inches offers plenty of forgiveness.

The riser of the Faktor 34 is a Tec Lite aluminum riser and provides a strong and stable base for the bow. Torque is eliminated and strength is enhanced by this riser design and it continues to dominate the bows that are being produced by Hoyt at the moment.

The parallel split limbs are constructed with a multilayer lamination technique for added strength along the entire length of the limbs. The draw weight range is quite wide as well starting from 30 pounds and maxing out at 80 pounds.

This is the type of bow that can best be described as a good all-rounder. It is highly effective as a hunting bow but will equally perform well on the 3D course.

What they are saying in the forums about the Hoyt Faktor 34

The Factor 34 was an excellent shooter for me -very smooth draw with a solid wall (for a non limb stop bow) and really like the feel of the bow after the shot. You could also relax a little at the draw and it wouldn't take off on you. The shot was very quiet but did have a tiny bit of vibe - easily taken out with a good stab.

The increase in mass weight in the Faktor series seems to help the stability just a tad, especially in the eyes of this target shooting coach. The bow, especially in the 34” ATA version, has a tendency to resist clocking a bit more than the Carbon Spyder series. Shootability with the new Z5 cam still makes things smooth and effortless.
