Limbsaver Proton Compound Bow

The Limbsaver Proton compound bow has been created to provide a high performance compound bow that has been streamlined wherever possible to reduce the weight to an absolute minimum. The bow features a straight riser design and pocketless limbs for a smooth and forgiving bow that delivers the most balanced performance possible.

When a bow has been developed with so much emphasis placed on forgiveness and smoothness you could be forgiven for thinking the bow will not deliver great speed. The Proton has an IBO rating of 330-335 fps making it one of the fastest compound bows on the market. It uses a 3-Phase H.E.A.T. Cam Technology to provide the power and this is coupled with an innovative Posi-Lock limb system that allows limb poundage adjustments in precise increments with no change to draw length, brace height or loss of tuning.

The H.E.A.T. (High Efficiency Active Transfer) Cam System is said to provide the shooter with unparalleled accuracy, tenability, efficiency, power and speed. It is a 3-Phase Hybrid Cam System with phase one re-optimised at each draw length so there is no loss of power or efficiency. Phase two is a refinement of the cam system with a Simple Tune System. Phase three integrates everything integrates with the smoothest possible draw.

What they're saying in the forums about the Limbsaver Proton

I shot one at NFAA Indoor National, normally I'm not one to be impressed easily. Honestly I just wanted some free limb saver string leeches they were giving away if you test shot one. I asked them to set on to 27.5" and 45# and insisted I use my release and my arrows. It was a bit sooner in the draw and harder breaking over than the same weight on my 45# Martin Scepter4 and P3 (both w/ Elite limbs and Nitrous_X "B" cams) but it had a nice long deep valley and a firm wall. the next thing I noticed my release hand was back behind my ear and the arrow was in the bale, I felt nothing. I mean, just a gentle click of my back tension hinge setting and then I expanded and it was gone. OK, I'm very impressed, and as I said I do not impress easily.
