Mathews McPherson MR7 Compound Bow
The Mathews Monster MR7 compound bow is part of the McPherson series and features power and control rolled into a bow that has been given a range of new features. Some of the features listed by Mathews that has improved the bow include AVS Technology which ensures better timing, a larger brace height of 7” for greater forgiveness. It takes the speed that was engineered into the Monster and created an even more accurate bow that is notable for the smoothness of the draw.
Like the original Monster bows the MR7 is powered by the Advanced Vectoring System (AVS) cam system and it is here that the smooth draw cycle promotes greater efficiency and improved performance. The 7 in the name of the bow is reference to the 7” brace height that gives you a nicely comfortable bow in terms of accuracy and forgiveness. The limbs are Quad V-Lock Limbs and complement the cam system and the Grid Lock riser with robust limb pockets completing the deal to supply plenty of consistent power.
The McPherson Series MR7 compound bow was released by Mathews with the intention of providing the hunter with a hyper-accurate smooth pulling performance machine. According to the many people who have used it, they have succeeded in many aspects.

What they're saying in the forums about the Mathews MR7
oh and the draw on the mr7 is completely different than the xlr8, way way smoother to draw and let down, no big jerk on the let down like the xlr8, after drawing and letting the mr7 down there is no way i thought it would be capable of 90 ft/lbs at 68.7 lbs of draw
The MR7 is a really nice bow, i cannot get enough of shooting it. It pulls smoothly and yet it pack a punch. Whether it packs more punch than its market opposition is up for scientific test!
The New MR's are definitely nicer than previous Monsters. The draw cycles are noticeably improved and the best improvement, the hand shock is gone. If you were considering either the Monster 6.0 or Monster 7.0, I would definitely suggest the upgrade to the MR6 or MR7.
